The Witt Laboratory at LSUHSC in Shreveport is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work in the field of neurobiology. Applicants must have a PhD in neuroscience or cell/molecular biology. Successful candidates should have a proven track record of publication and excellent communication skills. The candidate is also expected to help train graduate students. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The candidate will study the function of the Parkinson's disease protein alpha-synuclein in patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells. Experience with such cells is required, as well as experience with gene knock down techniques.

Candidates who have experience investigating alpha-synuclein in mouse models are also of interest.
